Bird 1st ™ UV

Guardian Bird1st™ UV is an advanced, bird-friendly glass designed to reduce bird collisions with buildings. It features a UV-striped coating that’s nearly invisible to humans but easily seen by birds.

Clear protection for birds

When combined with select Guardian SunGuard™ low-E coatings, Bird1st UV glass offers excellent solar performance and may support eligibility for LEED Pilot Credit 55.

Proven bird safety

The UV stripe coating on Guardian Bird1st UV glass acts as a visual warning for birds, helping to prevent collisions. It meets the 2″ x 2″ pattern guideline and has received an acceptable Threat Factor rating from the American Bird Conservancy, accounting for various bird sizes and species.
